                     CLARKSON PLC APPOINTS BEESON GREGORY


Clarkson PLC ('Clarksons'), the leading international shipping services and
broking group, today announces the appointment of Beeson Gregory as the
Company's joint financial advisor and broker. Cazenove, Clarksons existing
financial advisor and broker, will continue to work with the Company and will
act together with Beeson Gregory in the future.
