                      NOTIFICATION OF PRELIMINARY RESULTS



On behalf of our client, Churchill China plc, we notify the London Stock
Exchange that the Company will be announcing its Preliminary Results for the
twelve months ended 31 December 2002 on Thursday 20th March 2003.



Meetings:



An analyst meeting will be held at 10:00 am on the day and a press meeting will
follow at 11:30 pm. A lunchtime meeting for Private Client Brokers will be held
at 12:45 pm. All three meetings will be held at Buchanan Communications, 107
Cheapside, EC2.
