                      NOTIFICATION OF PRELIMINARY RESULTS


On behalf of our client, Churchill China plc, we notify the London Stock
Exchange that the Company will be announcing its Preliminary Results for the
twelve months ended 31st December 2001 on Tuesday 19th March 2002.



An analyst meeting will be held at 10:00 am on the day and a Press meeting will
follow at 1.00pm, both meetings will be held at Buchanan Communications, 107
