                NOTIFICATION OF INTERIM RESULTS
                               
                               
                               
On  behalf  of our client, Churchill China plc, we notify  the
London Stock Exchange  that  the  Company will be  announcing  
its  Interim Results for the six months ended 30th June 2000 
on Tuesday 5th September 2000.

An  analyst  meeting will be held 10:00am on the  day  of  the
results,  followed by a press meeting which will  commence  at
11:30am.  This will take place at Buchanan Communications, 107
Cheapside, EC2.
