                         Director / PDMR Shareholding


The Company was notified today that Mr Chris Day, a Director of Christie Group
plc, acquired 5,000 shares in the Company at 134p on 15 January 2008 and a
further 5,000 shares in the Company at 131p today. Mr Day also exercised 28,879
options yesterday under the Christie Group plc Save As You Earn Scheme at the
option price of 45.5p.

Following these transactions Mr Day's holding has increased to 581,068 ordinary
shares in Christie Group plc, representing approximately 2.30 per cent of the
total voting rights of the Company. The number of options outstanding by Mr Day
under the Company's Save As You Earn Scheme decreased to 11,349.
