Christie & Co care team successfully facilitates charitable trust merger

Christie Group plc (CTG.L), is pleased to report that its specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has assisted in the merger of two charitable trusts, operating in the social care sector.

The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) has announced its merger with The Fremantle Trust, in a transaction where Christie & Co's market-leading Care team brokered the combination of the two charities.

Established in 1991, OSJCT is a charitable trust which supports nearly 3,000 older people, employs just over 4,400 colleagues, and manages over 500 volunteers in 61 care homes and 8 extra housing schemes across Gloucestershire, Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, West Sussex and Wiltshire.

The Fremantle Trust, also a charitable trust, has a significant presence in Buckinghamshire, supporting over 750 people and employing over 1,300 colleagues across multiple facilities.

Richard Lunn, Managing Director - Care at Christie & Co, commented: "It was a pleasure to facilitate the merger of these two well-established, well-respected charitable trusts whose shared values will no doubt create a brilliant partnership, making a true difference to the lives of the people in their care."

Dan Prickett, Christie Group plc Chief Executive, commented: "This transaction illustrates and reinforces Christie & Co's longstanding and established reputation across the UK's 'third sector', which has resulted in numerous positive outcomes for our clients and the communities in which they operate over many years, and which we are excited about continuing to support moving forwards."
