                Christie Group plc (the 'Company' or 'Christie')

            Chairman's Trading Update at the Annual General Meeting


The Board is pleased to report that trading to the end of May 2007 is ahead of
the same period last year.

We will provide a commentary by trading division when we report our half year
results to shareholders in September.

In addition the Company announces that all the resolutions proposed at the
Annual General Meeting were duly passed.
