BFS SMALL COMPANIES DIVIDEND TRUST PLC

 

The Company was informed on 5 December 2000 that as a result of the
acquisition by its parent company of Murray Johnstone Holdings Limited on 30
November 2000, Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited acquired  400,000 Ordinary 25p
shares, representing 2.54% of the class of issued shares.

The total number of Ordinary shares now managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers
Limited and its associated companies is 3,550,000 shares, representing 22.54%
of that class (previously 20.00%).
