The Board of Elektron Plc (the 'Company' or 'Elektron') announces that it was
informed on 3 September 2007 that, following a purchase of 100,000 ordinary
shares of 5p each in the capital of the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), John Kinder
now holds 15,664,947 Ordinary Shares, representing 18.06 per cent. of the issued
share capital of the Company.
