Sale of holding in Versarien plc

Elektron Technology plc (AIM: EKT, "Elektron"), the global technology group, is pleased to announce that, further to the announcement released on 12 June 2013, it has sold its holding in Versarien plc (AIM: VRS "Versarien") on 15 August 2013.  The shares in Versarien were sold for a total net price of approximately £771,000 and the cash proceeds of the disposal will be used by Elektron to reduce borrowings. 

Elektron no longer has an interest in the issued share capital of Versarien.
