Elektron plc ("Elektron" or the "Company") was notified on 5 August 2010 that, following a placing and allotment of ordinary shares in the Company as announced on 30 July 2010, Gartmore Investment Limited now has a holding of 7,405,000 ordinary shares in Elektron.  This holding represents approximately 7.0% of the total voting rights in the Company.
