Elektron plc (the "Company") was notified on 11 July 2011 that following a sale of 162,500ordinary shares in the Company on 8 July 2011, Downing LLP (previously Downing Corporate Finance Limited) now has a total interest in 3,164,295 ordinary shares in the Company, comprising of 2,914,295 shares held by Downing Distribution VCT 2 plc and 250,000 shares held by PFS Downing Active Management Fund.  This holding represents approximately 2.97% of the total voting rights in the Company.
