Change of Registered Office

                         The Character Group plc (the 'Company')

The Company announces that it has changed its registered office to 5th Floor, 4
Chiswell Street, London EC1Y 4UP.

Further to a recent board meeting the Company also announces that it is
proposing to include a resolution at its next Annual General Meeting to
authorise the purchase of up to approximately 15% of the Company's issued share
capital as at the end of August 2003.
