                           Transaction in Own Shares


Centaur Media plc announces that on 12 December 2007 it purchased 450,000
ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 88 pence per share.
These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, the Company holds 6,350,000 of its ordinary shares in
Treasury and has a total of 143,837,960 ordinary shares (excluding shares held
in Treasury) in issue.
