The Company was notified yesterday that Aberforth Partners has a notifiable
interest in 15,212,000 Ordinary Shares of 10p, representing 10.19% of the issued
share capital of 149,316,858 in the Company.

The above includes a holding of 5,468,800 Ordinary Shares of 10p in the name of
Aberforth Smaller Companies Trust plc.

Aberforth Partners is not the beneficial owner of the shares, which are
registered in the names of Nortrust Nominees Limited A/C ABERFERTH; Bank of
Ireland Nominees Limited; The Church Commissioners for England (Chase GIS)
Nominees Limited and State Street Nominees Limited A/C JD59.
