In accordance with a letter dated 26 May 2003 which was sent to all Centamin
Egypt Ltd shareholders with unmarketable parcels, the Company has now sold
461,023 shares on behalf of 1,095 shareholders.

The share registry records now show 1,479 registered shareholders in Centamin
Egypt Ltd, down from 2,574 shareholders.
