Annual General Meeting - Statement

At Cenkos Securities plc's Annual General Meeting, held this afternoon, the Chairman of Cenkos, John Hodson, made the following statement:

'Whilst the markets in which we operate continue to be difficult at the moment, the Group has made a solid start to the current year and is trading in line with our expectations. All of our divisions have continued to make a positive contribution to the Group's performance during the current period. There has been much press comment recently that the level of IPO's is significantly down on previous periods, we have found this to be the case but have managed to complete a number of transactions over the last few months and our pipeline remains encouraging. It is the view of the directors of the Company that the diversification of income streams and the flexible cost base which is highly geared to performance will allow the Company to continue to trade profitably in these challenging markets'
