Notifiable interest in shares

The   Company  was  advised  on  14  August   2000   that
Framlington Innovative Growth Trust PLC has a  notifiable
interest   in  873,750  ordinary  shares   of   2p   each
representing  approximately 3.52% of the issued  ordinary
share  capital. The shares are registered in the name  of
MSS Nominees A/C 811366.

The  Company  has  also been advised that  following  the
recent  merger of CGNU plc and Norwich Union plc to  form
CGNU  plc,  the aggregated holding of the new  entity  is
4,230,875   ordinary  shares  of  2p  each   representing
approximately 17.1% of the issued ordinary share capital.
