Nexstar Joint Venture launches new Music Publishing Platform

Milestone, the AIM quoted (AIM: MSG) provider of digital media and technology solutions, is pleased to announce that its joint venture company, Nexstar, has launched a Music Publishing Platform, called "Black Cactus Music".

Black Cactus Music is a global music cloud platform, which can be viewed at www.blackcactusmusic.com. It provides a one-stop-shop technological solution for musicians, recording artists and the music industry; freeing musicians from the expensive and time-consuming task of piecing together the tools they need to publish music, video, manage their publicity and ticket sales of concerts and events. Black Cactus Music is a complete platform, empowering artists to independently introduce, share, sell and distribute their music directly from their websites or music platform disrupting the established economics and opportunities of music distribution. Currently Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other social media platforms are estimated to have over 48,000,000 aspiring independent artists that are trying to publish but the biggest barrier is cost.  Black Cactus Music removes this barrier.

The comprehensive product suite addresses the unique needs of musicians online:

• Allows music sales directly from the musicians' websites or platform.
   
• Distribution of musicians content to over 120 of the largest streaming services and online stores including iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, Google Music, Deezer, Shazam, Tidal, Soundcloud etc. It also distributes to over 36,000 Internet Radio stations as well the major studios as part of independent artists to watch.
   
• Distribution of music video to all the major video services such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and the majority of video distribution platforms utilising the BackStage HD Video multi-channel player.
   
• Concert and Events promotion and ticketing alongside integrated fan management and communications through Black Cactus' BackStage ShoutOut and Bands in Town.
   
• Merchandising is also included with an e-commerce store integrated with MOIP payment gateways allowing Nexstar to manage and control payments of merchandise whilst allowing the artist to maintain of the transaction value.
   
• Backstage HD monitors and tracks analytics for music sales, shares, previews, downloads, streams and social media activity.
   
• Each artist also receives tailored website templates specifically built for musicians.

Nexstar receives revenues from a number of areas, including a one-time setup fee (£500) per artist for access to the platform and a revenue share of between 25-30% per transaction.
