Appointment of Programme Director

Milestone, the AIM quoted (AIM: MSG) provider of digital media and technology solutions is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Frank Sweeney as Programme Director of the Passion Project.

Frank will support the delivery of the Company's existing youth engagement programmes as well as helping with the creation of bespoke training materials and programmes necessary for the ongoing development of the project and its participants.

These new training programmes will incorporate materials recently acquired under the extended licence agreement with SFK which are especially focused on emotional intelligence, resilience and value-based learning. Frank will also assist in the promotion, sale and facilitation of these programmes.

As part of his role, Frank will help the Milestone Board to develop a long-term plan that will develop its youth programmes into a national network with scalable infrastructure whilst creating a sustainable legacy product. He will also oversee the preparation and submission of grant funding applications for the Milestone Foundation.

Working in partnership with the Greater London Authority and Lancaster University, Frank currently chairs a series of knowledge exchange workshops at City Hall, collecting insight into innovative business models that can be shared by industry, academia and government to enable strategic collaborative partnerships that will help to realise Milestone's aims and deliver the objectives of the Passion Project and the Milestone Foundation.

Frank brings with him a number of youth initiatives, contacts and network, which he will integrate into the Passion Project that will assist with its expansion.

These projects include, The Great British Carnival, the London 2012 Festival Legacy Project scheduled for July 2014's anniversary of the re-opening of the Olympic Park, In The House, Parliament Week's youth music & culture event at the House of Commons in November 2014 and the London-wide BE United Urban Quest talent show in July 2015/16.

Frank is a well-respected learning mentor, currently delivering Arts engagement programmes for youth social inclusion charity, The Crib, and consultant to the art school, Open School East. He has extensive experience in working with young people, helping to develop their creative potential. His programmes have supported Russell Brand, Leona Lewis, Diversity, Little Miss Jocelyn and Jermain Jackman, who is currently mentored by Will.i.am on the current series of the talent show " The Voice".

Frank was Executive Administrator to the management team that delivered the £20 million Hackney Empire restoration programme and, as the theatre's programmer, he produced over 100 shows for the theatre, contributing £1.5million to the annual turnover. He is a producer and general manager of theatre, variety and carnival. His current annual programme includes: London's liveliest urban-arts youth showcase, Boroughs United; London 2012 Festival Legacy project, The Great British Carnival; leading comedy industry showcase, NATYS: New Acts of The Year Show and Ludgershall's Legendary Comedy Club; Harmony Productions: UK Comedy Collective, national tours of British-Jamaican Farce and African-American Stand-up Comedy.

Frank Sweeney will not be a statutory director of Milestone Group PLC.
