Newsplayer Group PLC 18 June 2001 Newsplayer Announces Deal With Passport on Showbiz and Entertainment Material Newsplayer Group PLC (AIM: NPG), the new media company, today announces an exclusive deal with Passport International Productions. The deal grants Newsplayer a 12-year worldwide licence to exploit Passport's programme catalogue via the internet. The archive features biographies of hundreds of Hollywood stars - from Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall to Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. In total there are 650 hours of programmes, including profiles of leading jazz musicians and highlights of World Series baseball games. Newsplayer Group will digitise the content and exploit it in B2B, B2C and B2E marketplaces. Newsplayer will pay Passport royalties in the amount of 50% of gross revenues received.
