               INTERIM ANNOUNCEMENT DATE - TUESDAY 19 APRIL 2005

Carr's, the Cumbria-based agriculture, food and engineering business, proposes
to announce its results for the half year ended 26 February 2005 on Tuesday 19
April 2005.

On that day, there will be a presentation to brokers' analysts between 09.00 and
