On 28th April 2003, Carnival plc (the "Company") received notification in
accordance with Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 that as at the close of
business on 22 April 2003, UBS AG, acting through its business group UBS
Warburg, no longer has a notifiable interest in the issued ordinary share
capital of the Company.
