Carillion PLC 12 December 2001 Carillion today announces two changes to the membership of its Board Carillion plc non-executive directors Roger Brooke and Alan Coppin will retire from the Board on 31 December 2001. Commenting on the changes, Chairman Sir Neville Simms said: 'Roger Brooke has made a major contribution to establishing Carillion as one of the UK's leading construction to services companies. His experience and stewardship have been invaluable, both as a non-executive director of Tarmac plc during its demerger to launch Carillion and subsequently as Deputy Chairman of Carillion and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. 'Alan Coppin is moving on to a number of new challenges in the corporate, education and charity sectors, having also contributed significantly to the success of the demerger and the considerable progress Carillion has made as an independent company. The Board, therefore, wishes to express its sincere thanks to Roger and Alan for the valuable service they have given the company.' As a result of the changes announced today, the Carillion plc Board will comprise the following members.
