New Directorship Held in Another Publicly Quoted Company 

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14, the Company announces that Steve Mogford, Carillion plc Non-Executive Director, has been appointed to the Board of United Utilities Group PLC and as Chief Executive designate of that company with effect from 5 January 2011.  He will become Chief Executive of United Utilities Group PLC on 31 March 2011.
