Carillion PLC 24 May 2000 Carillion plc appoints Dickens as non-executive director Carillion plc, one of the UK's leading construction to services companies, has appointed Roger Dickens as a non executive director. Mr Dickens, CBE, DL, FCA, who was formerly a non-executive director of Tarmac plc, will take up his appointment with Carillion with immediate effect. Announcing his appointment, Carillion Chairman Sir Neville Simms says, 'We are delighted that Roger is joining the board. As a past director of Tarmac and with wide experience at senior level in a number of service-related business, he will make a valuable contribution to our business.' Mr Dickens, who is aged 52, was deputy UK senior partner of KPMG until 1998 and is currently Chairman of iSoft plc, Chairman of the West Bromwich Building Society and a non executive director of the NEC Group Ltd. Awarded the CBE in the 1997 New Year Honours for services to West Midlands industry, Mr Dickens is a Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands.
