Carillion sells equity in Public Private Partnership project for £14.5 million

Carillion plc has sold a further five per cent of its equity investment in the Allenby Connaught project to Innisfree for a total cash consideration of £14.5 million.

This disposal is in line with Carillion's policy of recycling its equity investments in Public Private Partnership projects, which involves selling equity in mature projects, namely those that are well established in the operational phase, and reinvesting the proceeds in new projects.

Carillion sold 65 per cent of its 50 per cent interest in the Allenby Connaught project to Innisfree in December 2009.  As a result of this latest sale, Carillion has a 12.5 per cent equity interest in the project.
