Purchase of Own Securities

The board of The Cardiff Property plc announces that on 17 March 2003 the
company purchased 74,000 of its own ordinary shares of 20p each at £5.11 per
share. The shares acquired are to be cancelled.

The Company was also notified on 18 March 2003 that Trefick Ltd no longer hold
an interest in the ordinary shares of the Company.
