                  CARCLO PLC (the 'Company')
                               

Carclo plc has today been advised that Mr T S Kurwie, a
director, has purchased 35,000 Ordinary shares in the Company
at 108p per share on 7 March 2000.

The shares are to be registered in the name of his spouse Mrs
R M Kurwie.

Following this transaction Mr Kurwie now holds an interest in
40,096 Ordinary shares in the Company.
