Cairn announces that Paul Mayland, Director of Planning and Business Development, purchased 9,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of £2.606 per share on 22 December 2011.  

Following this announcement, Paul Mayland's beneficial interests in the Ordinary Shares of the Company are as follows:-
