In accordance with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, we would like to
notify the market of the following:

As at 17 August 2007 and following the purchase by the Company of the shares set
out below, the issued share capital and voting rights of the Company is as
follows:-

The above figure may be used by shareholders as a denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.



Transactions in Own Shares



As stated in the circular to shareholders dated 14 August 2007, the Company
previously sought to buy back the shares listed below between October 2005 and
March 2007, but as a result of a technical infringement of the Companies Act
1985, these purchases were invalid.  The Company is therefore today announcing
the formal purchase and cancellation of these shares, at the prices set out
below, to correct this position.  The shares were purchased from the Company's
brokers who originally purchased the shares on behalf of the Company.  The price
per share set out in the table below is the market price which prevailed at the
time the Company originally sought to buy-back the relevant shares. The payments
in respect of the original purported buy-backs have already been included in the
cost of the share buy-backs in the Company's financial statements.
