SHARE REPURCHASE



Capita Group Plc announces that it purchased 130,000 ordinary shares in the
Company on 17 October 2005 at an average price of 379.75p per share. It is
intended that these shares are to be held in Treasury. Following the purchase,
Capita Group plc holds 10,840,000 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total
number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is
658,085,387.
