 Volume production under Murata manufacturing licence commenced

 

   

CAP-XX is pleased to announce that the manufacture of supercapacitors under its licence agreement with Murata has commenced at Murata's plant at Yasu in Japan.  Output from the plant, is designated for Murata's mobile phone customers using LED flash and other mobile devices.

 

Murata has informed CAP-XX that it is now focused on obtaining sales of the laminate supercapacitors to these customers.

 

A spokesperson for Murata said:

 

"We are pleased to report that following successful trial production runs, we are starting volume production of supercapacitors under the terms of our manufacturing agreement with CAP-XX.   We expect the availability of product in volume to hasten the adoption of this transformational platform technology, initially in mobile phones and digital cameras"
