Placing of 12.94 million New Ordinary Shares

CAP-XX Limited, developer of the supercapacitor-driven BriteFlash power architecture for mobile phones, today announces that has raised £1,617,500 million (before expenses) through a placing ('the Placing') of 12.94 million new ordinary shares of nil par value at a price of 12.5 pence per share (the 'Placing Shares') with new and existing institutional shareholders by Seymour Pierce Limited.  The Placing Shares will be admitted to AIM on 25 June following which the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue will be 62,052,791.

The purpose of the Placing was to provide additional working capital to further the development of the supercapacitors for Solid State Drives and Energy Harvesting markets; and to invest in the development of research & development for the recently announced Surface Mount Device.

Anthony Kongats, Chief Executive Officer of Cap-XX commented:

'We were very pleased by substantial demand from institutional shareholders and welcome their support for our product and strategy, the raising brings us closer to commercialisation and volume sales to the mobile handset market, which remains on schedule.'

Notes to Editors:

CAP-XX is a world leader in the design and manufacture of thin-form supercapacitors and power management systems, predominantly for portable electronic devices.

The unique feature of CAP-XX's supercapacitors is their ability to store high volumes of energy and output high power levels within a thin-form design. These attributes will be critical for the next generation of high volume, power-hungry portable electronic devices, including mobile phones and solid state drives.

Portable devices are one of the fastest growing segments of the electronics market and provide the greatest opportunities for CAP-XX's products.  CAP-XX's products are already an established enabling technology for the current generation of wireless devices.
