Transaction in Own Shares



Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that on 18 December 2007 it
purchased 50,000 of its own shares of 5p each at a price of 1950p per share.
These shares are to be held in treasury.



Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 412,229 of its ordinary shares in
treasury and has a total of 58,382,552 ordinary shares with voting rights
(excluding treasury shares) in issue.
