Transaction in Own Shares


Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that on 19 November 2007 it
purchased 15,000 and 5,000 of its own shares of 5p each at a price of 2044.4933p
per share and 2020.0001p per share respectively. These shares are to be held in
treasury.

Following the purchases, Caledonia holds 317,966 of its ordinary shares in
treasury and has a total of 58,476,815 ordinary shares with voting rights
(excluding treasury shares) in issue.
