Transaction in Own Shares

Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that on 15 November 2007 it
purchased 5,639 of its own shares of 5p each at a price of 2055p per share.
These shares are to be held in treasury.

Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 282,966 of its ordinary shares in
treasury and has a total of 58,511,815 ordinary shares with voting rights
(excluding treasury shares) in issue.
