Transaction in Own Shares

Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that on 5 November 2007 it
purchased 15,000 of its own shares of 5p each at a price of 2007.4155p per
share. These shares are to be held in treasury.

Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 208,000 of its ordinary shares in
treasury and has a total of 58,586,781 ordinary shares with voting rights
(excluding treasury shares) in issue.
