Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange Plc and the UK Listing
Authority for 53,820 Ordinary shares of 50p each ('shares') to be admitted to
the Official List. It is expected that permission to admit the new shares will
be granted on 12 December 2000 and that trading will commence thereafter.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options
under the Caffyns PLC Save As You Earn Scheme ('SAYE') and will rank pari
passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
