Sale of Soft drinks business


Dublin, London, August 15, 2007: C&C Group plc ('C&C' or the 'Group'), a leading
manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded beverages in Ireland and the
UK, today announced that it has received unconditional approval from the Irish
Competition Authority to sell its soft drinks division and related assets
(Republic of Ireland distribution wholesaling) to Britvic plc. Completion of the
sale is now planned for 29 August 2007. Details of the sale were announced on 14
May 2007.
