Notice of 2008 Annual General Meeting

Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.1, two copies of the following documents have been submitted to the UK Listing Authority:

1.    Burberry Group plc Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2008;

2.    Notice of Annual General Meeting; and

3.    Proxy Card.

These documents are also available on the Burberry Group plc website at www.burberryplc.com and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility which is situated at: The Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.

At the Annual General Meeting on 17 July 2008 it is proposed that the Company's Articles of Association be amended to reflect (i) changes in the law, now in force, following certain provisions of the Companies Act 2006 coming into effect, (ii) changes in the law (other than under the Companies Act 2006), now in force, and (iii) a general update of the Articles to bring them into line with the current market practice of public limited companies. It is also proposed that the Company's Articles of Association be amended with effect from 1 October 2008 to reflect changes in the law under the Companies Act 2006 that will come into force on 1 October 2008. A summary of the proposed changes is set out in the Notice of Annual General Meeting and the revised Articles of Association are available for inspection at the Company's registered office and have also been submitted to the UK Listing Authority, and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility.
