Outsourcing Services Expanded in UK

                 BUNZL EXPANDS OUTSOURCING SERVICES IN THE UK
                                       
                                       
Bunzl plc, the international Group supplying business to business consumables,
today announces that it has further expanded its Outsourcing Services business
in the UK through the acquisition of Shermond Products Limited.

Shermond, which is based near Brighton, operates throughout the UK and
specialises in the supply of gloves and other disposable products to the
healthcare and hygiene sectors.  Sales were £17.4m in the year ended 31 March
2000 and consolidated net assets at completion are estimated to be £4.2m.

Anthony Habgood, Chairman of Bunzl said:

position in the growing healthcare sector.'
