                    BUNZL EXPANDS EXTRUSION BUSINESS IN US


Bunzl  plc,  the international services Group, today announces the acquisition
of  Davidson  Plastics,  a profile extrusion business  located  in  Washington
State, USA.

Davidson,  one  of the leading West Coast extruders, enhances Bunzl's  overall
national  position  in  this business in the US and complements  the  existing
operations  in  the  Pacific  North West.  Sales  of  Davidson  in  1999  were
approximately  $22 million and net assets acquired are estimated  to  be  $4.3
million.
