The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 19th June 2003 it
re-purchased 45,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.08% of the issued class
of capital), at 252p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 45,000 Ordinary Shares is due on
24th June 2003 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to
56,660,416 Ordinary 25p Shares.
