The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 4 March 2003 it re-purchased
47,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0. 08% of the issued class of
capital), at 227.5p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 47,000 Ordinary Shares is due on
7 March 2003 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to 57,175,416
Ordinary 25p Shares.
