The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 15th May 2003 it re-purchased
50,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.09% of the issued class of capital),
at 242p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 50,000 Ordinary Shares is due on
20th May 2003 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to 56,800,416
Ordinary 25p Shares.
