Notification of major interests in shares

N Brown Group plc ('the Company')

Fidelity International Limited (FIL) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, 
both being non-beneficial holders, has today notified the Company that its last 
notification to the Company regarding its interest in the Company's ordinary 
shares was issued by them in error. The current share holding of FIL in the 
Company's Ordinary Shares is 21,578,671 (7.3% of the current issued share 
capital of the Company) and NOT 22,509,777 (7.62%) as previously announced on 
2 February 2006.
