Notification of major interests in shares

N Brown Group plc ('the Company')

The Company notifies that it was advised on 29th January that Legal & General
Group Plc reduced the number of ordinary shares held by them in the Company to
8,844,761 ordinary shares of 10p each. This shareholding represented 2.99% of
the current issued share capital of the Company.

Today we have received further notice that Legal & General Group Plc and/or its
subsidiaries has now increased its shareholding in the Company to 8,870,761
ordinary shares of 10p each. This shareholding now represents 3.00% of the
current issued share capital of the Company.
