Notification of major interests in shares

N Brown Group plc ('the Company')

The Company notifies that it was advised on 10th February that FMR Corp. and its
direct and indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited (FIL) and
its direct and indirect subsidiaries, both being non-beneficial holders reduced
the number of ordinary shares held by them in the Company to 31,519,789 ordinary
shares of 10p each. This shareholding represented 10.77% of the current issued 
share capital of the Company.
