The company was informed on 14th December 1999 that, as a result of the sale on
13th December 1999 of 2,469 shares of the company by the N Brown Group plc No.2
Employee Share Ownership Trust ('the No.2 Trust') to a group employee on
exercise of a long term incentive share plan award, the number of shares held by
the No.2 Trust, in which Mr Jim Martin (Chief Executive) and Mr Tom Kowalski
(Finance Director) together with other employees within the group, are
technically interested as potential beneficiaries, has reduced to 439,510
shares.
